Description
We’re excited to offer fleeces and wool from Zoe’s flock of Rare Breed Portland sheep. Smaller than most sheep, both males and females have horns, with distinctive gingery faces and legs. Their naturally creamy white wool is highly valued by spinners, knitters, and crocheters.
Born and raised on our Essex farm, each sheep is named and loved, grazing only on natural pastures and hedgerows. They live outdoors year-round and lamb around late April. Shorn each May using electric clippers, their wool is available as raw fleeces or spun into yarn by Shire Mill (Leicestershire).
