It all started with a family wedding in 2022… it was such a beautiful day, it left us wanting to share the space with others. So, a lot of planning later, and here we are!

The Barn Field is one of the prettiest parts of the farm – secluded beside the lake, surrounded by meadows, trees, hedges, wildlife and woodland. And slightly wild! Suitable for weddings and other events, the venue offers a lot of flexibility, with a really beautiful, natural ‘blank canvas’ for you to design your day or event onto.

Come and visit us at our very first Open Day and Showcase on Sunday 12th May, 11-3!

We’ll have a fabulous group of suppliers there for you to meet, and the venue and ceremony areas will be dressed up in their party best, with tipis by the lake. Grab a glass of bubbles or a mocktail, and come and see how the venue can make your day just amazing. Suppliers include:

The VENUE is Ideal For:

Venue Details:

• Capacity for up to 140 people
• Dry hire, or with a package including tipis or stretch tents and furniture
• Available for weekend weddings (Fridays or Saturdays), between May and September
• Less than one wedding per week
• Exclusive use, from the day before to the day after
• Recommended supplier list
• No corkage charge
• Choice of spaces for ceremonies (not yet licensed for legal ceremonies)
• Self catering accommodation available on the farm for up to 6 people
• Camping available in a neighbouring field

• 20 minutes from Braintree train station (which is 1 hour from Liverpool Street), and 40 minutes from Stansted airport

Dry Hire

Dry Hire Weddings allow you the freedom and flexibility to bring your own ideas to make your wedding truly individual and ‘yours’. It requires some organisation, and we can help you with some of the details if you need it, or you might want to use a wedding planner/organiser.

Dry Hire costs start at £850 for events of less than 12 hours, or £3,500 for 3 day hire. Cost includes:

• Rent of the site for the tipi or marquee, accessible from 9am – 6pm on the day before to 2pm on the day after your wedding
• Exclusive access to the site and additional areas (including woodland areas) for that period 
• Water supply and power source
• Use of the fire pit and as much firewood as you need

Packages

We offer packages (in conjunction with local company https://www.coasttocoasttipis.com/ ) which include the tipi(s) or stretch tent, furniture, dance floor, floor matting, fire pit, and power and water supplies.
