In the heart of stunning Essex countryside, Barnfield Weddings is a special, hidden venue, a beautifully romantic setting where natural beauty meets modern elegance. Surrounded by open fields, a lake and woodland, and with picturesque views, Barnfields is the perfect backdrop for couples dreaming of a relaxed yet unforgettable celebration, with tipis or a stretch tent to provide a space for your celebrations that you can decorate to match your dreams.

Suitable for weddings and other events, the venue offers a lot of flexibility, with a really beautiful, natural ‘blank canvas’ for you to design your day or event onto.

Venue Details:

• Capacity for up to 120 people
• Dry hire, or with a package including tipis or stretch tents, power and furniture
• Available for weekend weddings (Fridays or Saturdays), between May and September
• Less than one wedding per week
• Exclusive use, from the day before to the day after
• Recommended supplier list (or choose your own)
• No corkage charge
• Choice of spaces for ceremonies (not licensed for legal ceremonies)
• Self catering accommodation available on the farm for up to 6 people
• Camping available in a neighbouring field
• Good access and parking
• Dogs allowed
• 20 minutes from Braintree train station (which is 1 hour from Liverpool Street), and 40 minutes from Stansted airport

Dry Hire

Dry Hire Weddings allow you the freedom and flexibility to bring your own ideas to make your wedding truly individual and ‘yours’. It requires some organisation, and we can help you with some of the details if you need it, or you might want to use a wedding planner/organiser.

Dry Hire costs start at £850 for events of less than 12 hours, or £3,700 for 3 day hire. Cost includes:

• Rent of the site for the tipi or marquee, accessible from 9am – 6pm on the day before to 2pm on the day after your wedding
• Exclusive access to the site and additional areas (including woodland areas) for that period 
• Water supply and power source
• Use of the fire pit and as much firewood as you need

Packages

We offer packages (in conjunction with local company https://www.coasttocoasttipis.com/ ) which include the tipi(s) or stretch tent, furniture, dance floor, floor matting, fire pit, and power and water supplies.
