Description
We have a small herd of British White cattle and a small (but growing!) flock of Portland sheep. We have just one or two beef animals and four sheep to sell for meat each year – follow us on Instagram or Facebook for availability updates.
The cattle are Silvopastured (grazing in the fields and woodland) all year round, they are also fed hay – grown on the farm – from autumn to spring to supplement the winter grass. The sheep live mainly in pastures where they eat the herb filled pastures and also graze on the hedgerows.
We usually sell the meat fresh from the butcher in mixed boxes, ready for you to put in your freezer, so the availability period will be very short (i.e. we would tell you which day the meat will be ready and it would need to be collected from the farm on that day). If you would like us to email you when we have an animal ready, please contact us here.
Hogget – aged between 1 and 2 years, offering a fuller, richer flavour than lamb while remaining tender.
- Pedigree Portland sheep – a small breed, so joints and chops may be slightly smaller.
- £125 per half carcass
- Includes: one leg joint, one shoulder joint, chops, cutlets and breast
- Approximate weight: 8-10 kg
