Our Facilities
You might just want to immerse yourself in nature, listen to the sounds of the countryside, relax and unwind, and that’s fine with us! But there’s also lots to do when you’re ready, and the farm has facilities to help you and your family really enjoy your holiday, whatever the season or weather.
On the farm
Heated Swimming Pool
The pool is open from Easter to October (weather permitting). Set at the top of the farmhouse garden, with steps and a handrail to make it easy to get in and out, and sun-beds for when the weather is good. Shared with the other holiday cottage and us. The pool is approximately 4ft (1.2m) deep throughout.
Tennis Court
This hard court is maintained to a high standard, and a small selection of adult and children’s racquets and balls are available for you to use.
Fishing Lake
There is a one-and-a-half acre lake available for guests to use for ‘family friendly fishing’. Its stocked with rudd, roach, bream and a few carp, for fun, easy fishing. Available all year round.
Play Barn
Next door to the cottages is an old barn which has been modernised to provide a weatherproof space for playing, with table tennis and pool tables, and other toys available throughout the year. Invaluable when the weather is bad and the children need space to let off some steam!
Other Facilities Include
Barbecue
A Weber charcoal barbecue and charcoal is provided (shared by the two cottages) for use in the designated area opposite the cottage.
Firepit
A perfect spot to sit, chat and unwind in a quiet, beautiful corner of the farm, with an endless supply of logs (not available if there is a risk of fire spreading due to very dry and/or windy conditions).
Free Parking
You can drive right up to the door of the cottage to unload your car, and there is then plenty of parking available in the farmyard, about 50 metres away.
Unlimited Wi-Fi
Unlimited free Wi-Fi is available in each cottage.
For Your Dogs
Your dogs are very welcome on the farm, and we will provide a bed, bowls, towel and poo bags to help them settle in. As it is a working farm, we just ask that you keep them under control at all times, that they are kept on a lead when you are near to the farm animals, and that you clear up after them. There is a hose available to use to clean your dog when they’re muddy if you’d like to.
